4th of July was about a week ago, and thanks to your help in getting the words out, we were able to offer 300 free lawn mows to wounded veterans across the country!

Like so many of you, we were looking forward to the 4th of July. A little over a month before the occasion, we were already making plans. We were debating whether to not to plan trip into Pennsylvania to pick up the BIG fireworks, we were assembling star spangled outfits in our minds, and we were trying to guess how many dogs and buns we’d need to feed the whole family. In the midst of all this, we were prompted to reflect on the day. Why were we getting the day off from work? As you all know, we were celebrating our nation’s independence, and the sacrifices made to defend it. We were inspired!

We know the sad truth of service to country: sometimes the men and women that sign up for it sometimes come home in a worse-off condition than they left. Many sustain injuries. Some will heal, some won’t. Some are physical, others mental. Regardless the ailment, we saw this as an opportunity to help. We teamed up with TRUST VETS in Minnesota to offer 100 free lawn mows to wounded veterans over the 4th of July weekend. We turned to Facebook to get the word out. Thanks to you all, your post describing our efforts reached over 55,000 people over the 4th of July weekend. The positive encouragement on our post, not only encourages us to open up the offer from 100 lawn mows in Minneapolis/St. Paul, to 300 across all our markets, but we were also inspired to do this next year, and every year after!

Thank you,

PLOWZ & MOWZ Team
