Plowz & Mowz pay-per-plow snow service starts at $40 for a standard driveway with 1-3 inches of snow. Heavier storms (3-6 inches) start at $55. Storms over 6 inches start at $75. Long driveways add $15 to $30. Salting and walkway shoveling are add-ons. There is no seasonal contract minimum.
A storm trigger sets a threshold (1, 2, or 3 inches of accumulation) above which we automatically dispatch a plow to your driveway. It is the closest thing to a seasonal contract without locking you into hundreds of dollars in advance. You can pause or change the trigger at any time inside the app.
No. The vast majority of our snow plow customers are not home (or not awake) when the plow rolls. The pro arrives, clears the driveway, and sends a photo to your phone. If you have a gate or specific entry rules, you can leave a note in the booking.
Single-storm plows during active snowfall typically arrive within 2 to 4 hours of booking. Storm-trigger plows fire when NOAA confirms accumulation above your threshold and dispatch automatically. During a major storm with multi-foot accumulation, we communicate ETA windows in the app rather than guess.
Yes. Pay per plow means there is no contract to cancel. Pause a storm trigger inside the app any time. If you want to keep the trigger but change the threshold, that is also one tap. We do not charge a cancellation fee.
Yes, but commercial properties go through Ground Control by Plowz & Mowz. Multi-property accounts get one rep, one invoice, and an in-house meteorologist on call. Visit Ground Control or call 1-877-756-9963 to set that up.
Yes. Salting is an add-on at booking, starting at $25 for a standard driveway. We use a calcium-chloride or rock-salt blend depending on temperature. If you have pets, ask for the pet-safe option in the notes.
If the storm depth changes between when you book and when the plow arrives, the price re-tiers automatically (you see the new price before the plow rolls). If accumulation drops, you pay the lower tier. We do not charge speculatively.
For storm-trigger customers, yes. Routes go out as soon as accumulation crosses the threshold, often between 3am and 6am. For pay-per-plow bookings, the dispatch window is whatever is open in your area at the time of booking, which is shown in the app.
A real person on our team picks up the same day. We pull the photo, talk to the operator, and work out the right next step with you. Most issues resolve within 24 hours.
For storm-trigger customers, we pair you with an operator who already plows your block, weighted by 12 years of performance data. On-time during prior storms, photo quality, customer ratings, repeat-booking rate. Once you have rated an operator 4 or 5 stars at your address, they are your preferred. We route them first whenever they are available.
We plow in metros across the Northeast, Midwest, and snow-prone parts of the Mid-Atlantic, including Boston, Buffalo, Rochester, Syracuse, Albany, New York, Pittsburgh, Cleveland, Cincinnati, Detroit, Chicago, Minneapolis, St. Paul, and the DC/MD/VA region.
Drop your ZIP, see your per-plow price, set a storm trigger and you wake up to a cleared driveway and a photo on your phone. If anything is off, a Plowz teammate makes it right.
