Loring Park

Located at 1382 Willow St. Minneapolis, MN 55403

Located in the southwest corner of Minneapolis, Loring Park is one of the largest parks in the Minneapolis community.  Some even call it ‘The Central Park of Minneapolis’!  This park has a small park feel that hides you from the busy street and traffic surrounding the park. Loring Park is filled with greenery from lush trees to a beautiful landscape everywhere you look! There is also a small lake with a fishing pier and a few paths for both biking and walking located throughout the park.

Mill Ruins Park

Located at 102 Portland Ave S, Minneapolis, MN 55401

Located in downtown Minneapolis, Mill Ruins Park is a part of history on the river.  This park seamlessly brings together history, architecture, and nature. There are signs located all throughout the park supplying you with history about the area. This great park is filled with friendly people and a very safe environment to just get out and get some fresh air.

Theodore Wirth Regional Park

Located at 1301 Theodore Wirth Pkwy, Golden Valley, MN 55422

This 759-acre park is the perfect spot for year-round activities.  There are two amazing golf courses located throughout the park.  Other amenities include everything one could think of like a fishing area, garden spot, picnic area, soccer field, tennis court, and walking path, cross-country ski trail, and drinking fountain.  Music in the park is also a great spot for entertainment!

Gold Medal Park

Located at 2nd Street and 11th Avenue South, Minneapolis, MN 55415

Stretching 7.5 acres throughout the downtown east neighborhood, Gold Medal Park is an urban park. With a commitment to green space and the arts, this park is beautiful. The park is clean and well maintained and has very interesting architecture.  Take some time to walk up the spiral path and enjoy the awesome views at the top of the summit.  Note that this is a very active park, especially in the summertime.

Boom Island Park

Located at 724 Sibley St NE, Minneapolis, MN 55413

Boom Island Park has it all. From a playground to walking and hiking paths overlooking the Mississippi River, this park is the perfect spot.  If you are interested in water sports, there are two separate areas to launch boats and even areas to rent kayaks. The park also has an open area to play frisbee or any other outdoor activity with many pet-friendly areas.  And if you are just looking to relax, there is a picnic area with pavilions, grill, and fire pits.

Normandale Lake Park

Located at 84th and Chalet Road BloomingtonMN

Normandale Lake Park is filled with activities, including trails for walking, jogging, and biking totaling 1.8 miles around the lake. Come to Normandale Lake Park if you would like a nice quiet nature walk or run.  There is also a boat launch with spots for canoeing and fishing.  And throughout the park, there are bridges, a picnic area, wildlife, and nature.

North Commons Park

Located at 1801 James Ave. N Minneapolis, MN 55411

North Commons Park is a 25-acre park located in North Minneapolis with spacious grounds.  Amenities at North Commons Park include a water park, courts, and fields for sports and a large playground for kids of all ages.

Farview Park

Located at 621 N 29th Ave. Minneapolis, MN 55411

Farview Park is specifically known for an amazing panoramic view of downtown Minneapolis. This is a great neighborhood park filled with activities and areas for park-goers of all ages. Sporting activities include baseball/softball field, basketball court, and football field.  As well as a walking pathway, wading pool, and picnic area. There is also a little free library located in the park!
