There are signs located all throughout the park supplying you with history about the area. This great park is filled with friendly people and a very safe environment to just get out and get some fresh air.
This 759-acre park is the perfect spot for year-round activities. There are two amazing golf courses located throughout the park. Stretching 7.5 acres throughout the downtown east neighborhood, Gold Medal Park is an urban park. With a commitment to green space and the arts, this park is beautiful. The park is clean and well maintained and has very interesting architecture. Take some time to walk up the spiral path and enjoy the awesome views at the top of the summit. Note that this is a very active park, especially in the summertime.
Boom Island Park has it all. From a playground to walking and hiking paths overlooking the Mississippi River, this park is the perfect spot. If you are interested in water sports, there are two separate areas to launch boats and even areas to rent kayaks. North Commons Park is a 25-acre park located in North Minneapolis with spacious grounds. Amenities at North Commons Park include a water park, courts, and fields for sports and a large playground for kids of all ages.
Farview Park is specifically known for an amazing panoramic view of downtown Minneapolis. This is a great neighborhood park filled with activities and areas for park-goers of all ages. Sporting activities include baseball/softball field, basketball court, and football field. As well as a walking pathway, wading pool, and picnic area. There is also a little free library located in the park!
