Plowz & Mowz – Precision Weather Alert – Boston, MA – 1/26/15 from Plowz and Mowz

Winter Storm Juno, as it’s now being called, continues to grow in size and scope. We first reported on the snowfall on Friday, calling for as much as 5-9” in some areas over the weekend. That snow did indeed arrive and a second wave is expected to hit tonight and tomorrow with our totals from previous forecasts doubling and even tripling in some cases.

The Winter Storm Watch for Fitchburg and the Blizzard Watch for the Boston areas remain in effect as the heavy snow is expected to be met with high winds large snow drifts. Most areas are expecting about 2ft of snow though the South Shore area can expect as much as 26”. Metro Boston is expecting about 18-22” and the North Shore area expects 19-24”. Fitchburg and Worcester Hills are expecting about 16-24” of snow to the west.

Due to the severity of the storm in the New England region, we’re experiencing a significant influx of orders. Our team is working around the clock to ensure that all of our customers are served in a timely fashion while also making sure that our drivers are operating safely. There’s a considerable amount of snow drifts and wind in the area, limiting visibility and creating difficult traffic conditions. We will provide everyone with timely updates as we receive them. Thank you for your patience and please stay safe.
