1. Oak Hill Country Club

145 Kilbourn Rd, Rochester, NY 14618, United States, Oak Hill Country Club is a country club located in Pittsford, New York, a suburb southeast of Rochester. Founded in 1901 and best known for its East golf course, the club has hosted multiple major championships. The Club has a rich history of golf, starting in 1901 as only nine holes on 85 acres on the banks of the Genesee Riverin Rochester. The clubhouse was no more than a converted farmhouse. Oak Hill had doubled in size and had a new clubhouse, so when the University of Rochester proposed a land swap in 1921, the country club decided to take the university up on their offer and moved the club to a 355-acre plot in nearby Pittsford. This decision ended up benefiting Oak Hill, the University of Rochester, and the City of Rochester. Now with triple the land of the old country club, Oak Hill had room for two 18-hole courses.

 

2. Mill Creek Golf Club

Mill Creek has developed its natural beauty and surroundings into an enjoyable and challenging round of golf. At first glance Mill Creek Golf Club may seem just like any other layout, but it packs much more of a challenge than similar golf courses of its length. At 6,300 yards from the back tees, the course is appealing to seniors and beginners, but the challenging, fast greens and tight fairways present a formidable test for all skill levels. The land on which Mill Creek Golf Club sits is the highest point in Monroe County, with views to the east of the Rochester skyline and the Finger Lakes’ rolling hills to the south.

 

3. Eastwood Golf Course

Eastwood Golf Course, owned and operated by the City of Fort Myers, opened for business on September 9, 1977. Designed by Robert Von Hagge and Bruce Devlin, Eastwood sits on the old city well field and comprises over 150 acres. Eastwood is located only 15 minutes from Southwest Florida International Airport, making it convenient for travelers. A driving range and practice green are at your disposal, and golf lessons are available from PGA-certified professionals. Eastwood uses five sets of tee markers to afford fun but challenging play. The skilled player (HDCP 0-10) will love the blue tees as it plays only 6,772 yards. Seniors play our gold tees at 5,568 yards, and ladies love the course at 5,116 yards. 4. Hadley Creek Golf Learning Center

Hadley Creek Golf Course and Learning Center has been designated a The First Tee facility by the World Golf Foundation. The First Tee’s purpose is to create facilities and programs that make golf more affordable and accessible, with a strong emphasis on introducing kids of all races and economic backgrounds to golf. Special programs, fees, and equipment have been planned to serve the needs of youth golfers at Hadley Creek Golf Learning Center. Programs will be offered to youth ages 5-18. HadleyCreek is the also home for Special Olympics Golf in the Rochester area. Both adult and junior golf lessons and classes are available throughout the spring, summer, and fall either at Hadley Creek or one of the other three city of Rochester golf courses.

The 18-hole “Brook-Lea” course at the Brook-Lea Country Club facility in Rochester, New York, features 6,817 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 72. The course rating is 73.9, and it has a slope rating of 126. Designed by Donald J. Ross, ASGCA, the Brook-Lea golf course opened in 1926. Jeremy Jarvis manages the course as the General Manager.

The 18-hole “Irondequoit” course at the Irondequoit Country Club facility in Rochester, New York, features 6,602 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 72. The course rating is 71.4, and it has a slope rating of 129 on Bent grass. Designed by Donald J. Ross, ASGCA, the Irondequoit golf course opened in 1916. The course rating is 71.4, and it has a slope rating of 126 on Bent grass. Designed by John Harris, the Ridgemont golf course opened in 1926.

The course rating is 68.2,. It has a slope rating of 109 on Blue grass. Designed by Robert Trent Jones, ASGCA, the Durand-Eastman Park golf course opened in 1935. Mark DeRidder, PGA,, manages the course as the Golf Professional. Durand-Eastman Park is a fun 18 hole regulation course located at the Durand-Eastman Park Golf Course facility in Rochester, NY. From the longest tees, it features 6,003 yards of golf for a par of 70. The course was designed by Robert Trent Jones, ASGCA, and opened in 1935.
